In the 2007 ICC World Twenty20 match, he hit six sixes in a single over. He became the first all-rounder to score 300 plus runs and to take 15 wickets in a single World Cup. Also he was the Man of the Series in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011. He has been awarded with the prestigious Arjuna Award and the Padma Shri Award. At IPL Auction, in 2014, Royal Challengers Bangalore bought him for an all-time high price of 14 crore rupees and in 2015, Delhi Daredevils bought him for a whopping 16 crore rupees, thus making him the most expensive player to be sold in the IPL history, till date.
No prizes for guessing who I am referring to.
Well, at least as a cricketer, he doesn't. But, did you know he is an actor as well?
His father is also a former Indian cricketer as well as an actor. So, it proves that acting runs in the family.
In 1992, Yuvraj Singh acted as a child artist in a Punjabi movie named 'Mehndi Shagna Di'.
So, Yuvraj's character participated in a race which's held in his school.
Of course, he comes first. But the interesting part is that he finishes the race first while holding his buddy's hand throughout the race. But when called to be felicitated, he denies for the award.
Well, Yuvraj being the team player replies that he and his friend has decided that in life they would win together and lose together.
Coming events cast their shadows before.
A glorious victory indeed.
Keep making us proud, Yuvi!
Is there anything you can't do? Maybe tomorrow we'll come to know that Yuvraj can fly as well.
