Recently there were rumors that Apple is going to ditch the standard 3.5 mm audio jack from their new iPhone 7. Instead of using 3.5 mm jack, they're planning to use the same USB C-Type port for all the accessories to be connected to the iPhone.

This is also true for the audio port; that means the new earpods will work with lighting port (USB C-Type) which is quite a dumb step.

No, this is not my personal opinion, but the opinion of people all over the internet. Yeah, sometimes people just cannot accept the fact that their favorite gadget is not gonna support the standard audio jack.
