Kickass Torrents is down, and it's a bad news for all torrent lovers out there. Even I'm sad, and I miss those days when I used to click 'K' on my keyboard, and the browser would suggest kat.cr as the first website to open.
Of course, we can't forget those days, but there's no need to be sad (I'm telling this to myself too) because I've got some torrent hacks which will make your life so much easier.
In these hacks, you'll know about different kinds of movie rip, about seeders and leechers, torrent clients, magnet links, and of course what the frek does all of this mean?
I even got mirror links of kickass torrents which you'll find in the story. Sssssshhh, don't tell FBI about those links.

As you might have heard that Artem Vaulin, the founder of kat.cr was arrested recently in Poland. The website kat.cr is down since then.
If you believe this is against the freedom and right of internet users, then go on to change.org and sign the petition to Free Artem Vaulin.
In a world full of problems such as terrorist attacks happening every week, global warming, corruption, human trafficking, millions of people dying due to hunger and diseases, do you believe a torrent website should get this much attention, and its founder should be arrested?
Isn't it the violation of our rights by arresting Artem Vaulin and taking the website down?
If you want to see the most loved torrent website up and running, sign the petition.
Well, I'm hoping you're already familiar with this website.
While searching for a movie, you might have seen the same movie with different name tags like HDRip, DVDRip or CAM. Have you ever wondered what they mean?
Well, here's the complete explanation:
CAM (Camcorder): This is the worst print you'll find of any movie, mostly recorded by a camcorder or a digital video recorder while sitting in a movie theater. Sometimes sound from CAM rip is very bad, but usually sound is attached from a different source, so you'll find the sound clear while the video will be shaky.
Now, one might wonder why would anyone download a CAM rip movie?
Because you can find the CAM rip link of a movie on the same day on which movie is released. That's the reason people go for it because there are people who can't hold themselves to wait for days for a good movie print.
SCR (Screener): You will find the SCR-Rip very rarely because SCR means the copy of movie got leaked which was supposed to be used at award shows. You might have seen some movies with a message scrolling at the bottom of the screen.
DVDSCR (DVD Screener): Same as SCR, but ripped off a DVD. DVDSCR are usually good print.
DVDRip: This is one of the best prints you can find on torrent. You'll find a DVDRip print of movie only after the retail DVD of a movie is released.
BrRip or Blue Ray Rip: Just like DVDRip, actually even better than DVDRip. BrRip is ripped off and transferred from retail Blue Ray DVD released by the producing company.
DL (Dual Audio): Movie is in dual audio, either in English and French, or English and Spanish, or English and Hindi. You can switch the audio by pressing 'B' key from the keyboard in while playing the movie in VLC media player.
Rated/Unrated: Rated means a movie is censored and unrated means uncensored.
DC (Director's Cut): It is a specially edited version of the movie which is supposed to show the director's point of view of the movie. Sometimes a movie is released in a version different from director's approved edit to cater the producer's need. That's why a different copy of movie is released later with DC, often better than the movie released in theaters.
First Rule of Torrenting: Always download movie with good seeds and do seeding.
Now, let's understand the concept of seeding and leeching in layman terms.
Seeding means uploading and leeching means downloading. While you download a movie, you're also simultaneously uploading the fragmented parts of the movie too. But, why?
Because it's like giving back to the community. It means if someone else is also downloading the same movie as you, he/she will get the data from your computer and vice-versa. So that way, you don't put the extra load on the servers of the torrent uploader who is hosting the movie.
Now, see the number in the red circle in the image, the green number denotes the number of seeders and the numbers in blue denotes the leechers. More the seeders, more the speed you'll get while downloading the movie. So, always download the movie with a maximum number of seeders.
And, always remember, don't just be a leech, be a seeder also and help the torrent community.
Whenever you download a movie or tv episode, you must have noticed some unusual names (like yify, axxo) at the end of a filename.
What does that mean?
These denote the name of torrent uploader who did all the hard work so that you could get the movie with the best quality and in minimum file size.
Here are the names of best uploaders:
Movies: YIFY, MkvCage, RARBG, ETRG, HDMaNiAcS
TV Series: ettv, z0n321
Games: R G Mechanics
