A lot of brave women are now redefining the pre-existing beauty notions, and oh, so proudly!
The conceptions or misconceptions of beauty that have been followed since time immemorial are being challenged by women now, only to keep their head high no matter what color their skin bears or how their body appears to be.
Yulianna Yussef was born healthy, but she was covered from head to toe in numerous birthmarks.
Her story is inspiring and paves the way for others to follow her example.
Then she came to know that she had congenital melanocytic nevus. Her condition was benign, but it won't go away.
As Yulianna grew up, she was bullied for her appearance, called names like "giraffe," "dalmatian," and "cow." This affected her a lot.
"Of course, I knew that I had some skin problems, because I visited a lot of doctors with my mom in different cities. It was hard. One summer, I spent [each day] at home, going out only for one to two hours when it was twilight."
"Of course, I had some breakdowns. But every time, I got up, dressed up, and showed up."
Salute that strength!
She shares her pictures on the social media, and urges people to accept themselves just as they are!
"Never be ashamed of who you are! You have to accept who you are, [because] if you don't do it, why should anyone else?"
That's what she goes by, and truly, we love you already, woman!
