Did you know that our body makes strange noises, one of which is hiccup? Yes, the same hiccup that makes you feel embarrassed at a party or while you are out with your friends. The hiccup is a result of an interruption in breathing, and that is why a specific gulping sound comes up.
If it lasts longer, it can be a matter of distress and concern. Moreover, chronic hiccups can lead to speech, eating or sleeping disorders. While sometimes these hiccups stop immediately when you practice some ways like drinking water or holding breath.
Well, few more remedies add up in the list of relaxing hiccups like pressing a few points on the body. Go through the list and follow the points.
Hiccups only last for a few minutes but sometimes stay like forever. So hold your breath for some time and it will definitely work out.
Place a finger on upper lip ridge in the centre and at the base of your nose while hiccup appears. Hold on your finger for like 30 seconds and see the instant result.
Initially, find the sternum- the bone that links all the ribs in the upper body portion. Then place your finger and locate the upwards lasting point. Apply pressure and keep it pressing for 30 seconds.
Squeeze the fist and you will see 2 vessels. Press the point between these 2 vessels and about 3 finger lengths towards the elbow. Keep pressing for 30 seconds.
In the middle of your pubic bone and belly button, there is a pressure point. Lie on your back and press this point for again 30 seconds and all your hiccups will disappear.
