Body shaming is not new. Everywhere and everyone's perception of it is same. Well, it is not at all bad to show off your body or assets unless you are comfortable with it. No one even carries that much right to comment or bash you for it.
But somehow women take the stress of the criticism for their appearance. That leads us to a Canadian photographer Trina Cary's client- a new mother who tried to reclaim her body after having babies. She went for a photo shoot that actually demonstrated that women carry so much of conflicting standards.
Trina Cary was seeking for a model for showcasing couple's love, self-love, postpartum and so she felt the parents be perfect for the shoot.
..."Every mom knows that it was worth the struggle for the end result, But it's still hard. You don't have time to think of the way you look most days, but sometimes you catch a glimpse of your body and hardly even recognize the reflection staring back."
..."Women, let us celebrate our flaws. Own our stretch marks and extra skin."
People said that Mei looked too skinny and called 'slut and hoe' for sharing pictures.
But Mei was so surprised to see the outpouring of comments that she denied speaking to media for the pictures.
But above all, the positive comments are all that matters.
