The movie 'Mask' is a dark comedy that consists of jokes which were too adult for our innocent ears. But when you turn adult and watch this movie again than it seems to be a great movie.
It's the type of movie that can make you laugh any time. So it's a must watch movie especially when you are sad.

Film mask was based on a dark horse comic named 'Mask'. But the comic of a lot darker than the film.
You must have seen the bright yellow suit that Jim Carrey used to wear. Well, there is a history behind that suit. Actually, Jim Carrey's mom used to make him wear that suit when he was a stand-up comedian.
The crazy dog that we saw in the movie was actually untrained and most of the scenes that he used to do were improvised. But, it being untrained benefited the film with some great natural scenes.
Jim Carre's character wasn't supposed to talk in the film. But as he is an extremely talented actor he learned how to talk with his giant teeth giving his character a much more crazy feel.
One of the funniest scenes of the film was when Jim takes out a balloon sort of thing out of his pocket and it turns out to be a used condom. Well, it was improvised by Jim himself. And, because it sounded pretty natural the directors decided to keep it that way.
The mechanics shop was the same location that was used in the Ghostbusters firehouse.
The producers were quite happy with the fact that they won't be spending much money on special effects since Jim was naturally cartoony and flexible with his character. And that made it more real.
The Mask was actually acted like certain cartoon characters in various parts of the movie. This included Tasmanian Devil, Bugs Bunny and Pepe Le Pew.
In the film, the Mask parodies Sally Field's Oscar line when he wins the award. The line was "You love me, you really love me!"
Jim Carrey received $450,000 for the film 'Mask'. And he got $7 million for Dumb and Dumber. Though both the films came out in the same year.
Jim opened a nightclub and named it Coco Bongo which was the same name used for the nightclub in the movie.
In the film, Loki's character is shown as the god of evil. But actually, Loki is the god of mischief and chaos.
When the police surround mask in the film, Mask says a dialogue which referred to Rodney King beating. The dialogue was "Where's a camcorder when you need it?"
Yes, that's true Cameron Diaz's voice was dubbed by Susan Boyd in the film.
The Mask exclaims "That's a spicy meatball!". It was actually in reference to a well-known product Alka-Seltzer which is for a heartburn relief.
