Much has been said about the noble female organ of vagina. Some sing hymns (not literally) about it, while some curse it like hell when on their period. The most beloved female body part for men has been bashed at times as well. Take #PantyChallenge as an example.
So a few women came up with another feminist (read pseudo) method to talk about women and their body but in a stupid and rather an abnormal way. The #PantyChallenge was a photo challenge where women were asked to post snaps of their clean underwears and show the world how 'clean' and hygienic their vaginas are. But what they didn't know was, the Vaginal Discharge is a very normal thing!
Vaginal discharge is a very normal bodily process which varies from person to person. Having too little or too much of vaginal moisture isn't a matter to be ashamed of.
It is absolutely normal to have a clear discharge without any significant odor or texture. There might be very little secretion one day and a lot on other days.
The most important of them is periods. If a woman is ovulating and not taking birth control pills, there's generally an increase in discharge during ovulation, and the discharge might appear like egg-white. The amount mostly changes during pregnancy, periods or low estrogen amount.
A normal discharge (which varies from woman to woman) is an indication of healthy oestrogen levels, vaginal pH, and blood flow. Though OB-GYNs suggest that a sudden change in amount, odour or texture in the vaginal discharge must not be ignored and a doc must be consulted as soon as possible.
