The location of swelling can reveal different health problems. Some people don't pay much heed to their swollen body parts which might exaggerate the inflammation. It is better to get rid of the swelling at the right time which is possible by knowing the cause of swollen body parts.

A swollen groin is a sign of injury or infection. It can also be caused due to exorbitantly engaging in sexual intercourse which can heal on its own. But special medical attention is required for cases that lead to severe groin pain and discomfort.
Swollen legs are the outcome of edema, heart failure or liver disorders. Though swollen legs can be cured by diuretics, you must consult your doctor to prevent the occurrence of this condition in future.
Swollen balls can be caused due to viral or bacterial infection. It can also be an indication of STD such as gonorrhea.
Facial swelling can be caused due to dehydration or allergy to certain medications. Environmental factors such as pollen grains, pet hair or certain food stuff can also cause swelling in the face. If facial swelling persists for a long time, then you might be suffering from the thyroid disorder.
Obese people are often spotted with extremely chubby cheeks and neck. Swollen jaw/neck can also be caused due to the tooth infection.
Bloating is generally caused due to gas or constipation. Sometimes stomach swelling can be an indication of something serious such as acid reflux or IBS.
Puffy hands can be caused due to injury, dehydration or excess salt consumption. Certain hand exercises and massages can help to get rid of puffiness in your hands.
Ear swelling is caused due to bacterial or viral infection. Several other reasons of ear swelling include infection of bone or skull, itching, eczema, swimmer's ear etc.
A swollen tongue can be caused due to the allergy to certain medications or other substances. An enlarged swollen tongue can lead to breathing problems and must be treated immediately.
