If you're a Potterhead, you would agree to the fact that Harry Potter became slightly proud and annoying at the end. No doubt, the story, plot line, characters, and developments were all super awesome (salute to the great JK Rowling), but Harry Potter as a character started to get on my nerves and became a complete jerk.
It was probably because being 'The Chosen One' got to him, or it was possibly the arrogance of winning over the 'Dark Lord.' It could be anything, but considering only the character, stardom seemed to have got to him since he was appointed a celebrity in the wizarding world.
Anyway, I'm not saying all that as a hoax, I've got proof for you. So here goes.
Remember in the Deathly Hallows when Ron left because he was worried about his family and Harry didn't give a damn? Well, first of all, Harry had no idea about the Horcruxes and how to destroy them because his dear Dumbledore hadn't left any instructions. But Harry chose to follow a blind path without realizing that Ron had a family to worry about, and the Death Eaters would attack his family anytime.
Remember he took Parvati Patil to the Yule Ball and didn't even dance with her? All that because he had his eye on Cho Chang and she turned him down.
Cho and Harry had a little something in Order of the Phoenix, but soon even that didn't work out because Cho would stay depressed all the time. Well, since Cedric (her former boyfriend) died, she has every right to be upset.
As they say, he got that from his father. There's a 100% chance that statement wasn't meant to be said like a compliment. He used his invisibility cloak to get into forbidden places or even Hogsmeade (in the 3rd year).
Why do we keep undermining Hermione's bravery and intelligence? She was the one who packed her small bag with the undetectable extension charm so that the trio could survive staying out of home for weeks altogether. Oh and it was HERMIONE'S time-turner that helped in saving Sirius and Buckbeak in the Prisoner of Azkaban.
Yes, he passed his owls with good grades and he always managed to clear his exams, but Hermione was there to help him with everything. If left upon Harry, he would've only practiced Quidditch and left his studies aside.
He knew she liked him since her first year, but he still went on to date other people. The moment she started dating Dean, that's when he wanted her. Forbidden fruit or something?
Although Snape and Harry were never on good terms but Snape always tried to teach him Occlumency so that he could block out the Dark Lord from his mind. But in the middle of being a rebel, he never learned the technique.
As we know that "Mad-eye" Moody or Barty Crouch Jr. was helping out Harry in every task, there was in the Triwizard tournament. Technically, he shouldn't have even participated in it, but somehow he still got recognition and no one else.
He didn't think about his friends, but his friends were considerate enough to help him. He also whined when they all used Polyjuice potion to transform into Harry so that they could protect him. But Harry being a rebel, didn't want their help and thought he could do it all on his own.
In the Goblet of Fire, he used magic outside H ogwarts and didn't even get in trouble for it. Dumbledore dropped all of his headmaster responsibilities and came for the hearing to protect Harry.
Being arrogant and over-confident, Harry kept putting his life in danger. Hermione was the more level headed one who kept him grounded. But all his friends were willing to put their lives at stake for him, and he didn't care at all.
Harry named all of his kids and didn't let Ginny name any of them even though she was the one who gave birth to them.
