We have all heard stories about some of the most wanted people like Pablo Escobar due to sitcoms based on them but very little do we know about America's crime families and the way they operated. These families also had their heads and these were some of the biggest threats to the society. These mafias had no respect for the law and killing anyone was just running an errand for them.
Let us have a look at some of the most troublesome mafias in the past decade.
Al Capone was the lord of organised crime based structure in America during the prohibition era. His crime gang scraped as much as $100 million annually. When he was just 14 he attacked a female teacher and is also thought to be responsible for the St. Valentine's Day massacre where 7 men were killed in broad daylight.

Pablo Escobar was born in a poor family and his father was a farmer. He had 6 siblings and it was hard for the family to earn money and at the age of 5 he told his mother that "mom, wait until I grow up, I will give you everything."
His life in the crime world started when he was a teenager and then slowly he moved towards more serious crimes and his first serious crime was kidnapping a Medellin Executive for $100,000. After that Pablo never turned back. He started smuggling cocaine and made so much money that one could only imagine of.
He was responsible for smuggling almost 80% of cocaine to the USA. He had so much money to keep that rats ate almost $1 billion of his profits!
One of the most infamous criminals of the century Dawood Ibrahim is currently on the wanted list of Interpol for cheating, criminal conspiracy and for running an organized crime syndicate. He was also responsible for the series of bomb blasts in Mumbai which killed almost 300 people.
The most wanted man of India Dawood had close relations with Osama Bin Laden of Al-Queda.
This guy had a stone heart, he killed his childhood friend because he couldn't make profits. He never let personal relations affect his business and if they came in the way he killed the people.
The part he specialized in was money laundering and gambling.
He immigrated from Italy and became one of the most powerful crime lords of the 20th century. He was infamous for his psychopathic behavior. He was the ruthless and most feared mobster in the USA. He was nicknamed the Mad Hatter and The Lord High Commissioner.
He rose up in the mafia circles with ease due to his no tolerance policy against the competitors.
He was the rival of crime czar Al Capone which shows his power in the crime world because it is not easy to be a rival of the big Capone. He killed Capone's bodyguard, crushed his testicles and sent his parts to Capone.
He was a sadist and enjoyed violence. His only way of dealing with people was shooting them.
He was the father of the organized crime in the USA. He had split the country into five governing families and was responsible for the development of the National Crime Syndicate in the USA. In a way, he governed the whole of America.
He also established the first commission and tried to maintain his power over all families and prevent future gang wars.
Griselda Blanco was the cocaine godmother and was responsible for murdering almost 200 people. She was a pioneer in the Miami-based drug cartel which ran on cocaine. Even jail couldn't stop her from running the business and she was infamous for carrying out operations from the inside of the jail.
