What could a man expect from his life? Get his own startup, be an entrepreneur, be his own boss, have lots of money, a beautiful wife, cute kids and travel the world. Well, this guy got all of it.

Back in 2011, he created an app called Scan, that did so well that he sold it to Snapchat for a whopping sum of $54 million. Now, what would you do if you were in his shoes? Buy a big mansion, make an investment, own a Ferrari and what not.

But this guy did something different. He sold out his car, apartment and all of his belongings in an online yard sale. Yeah, you read it right. He sold everything he had and went on a journey, a journey to travel the whole world with his family - his wife and two kids. He likes to call it The Bucket List Family.

But he missed playing for his university soccer team, so he dropped back in, played for BYU (Brigham Young University) Soccer team and eventually dropped out again.

At this time he had a beautiful wife, Settie with two little kids, Dorothy and Manilla. Now imagine what would a young family do at this stage with a lot of money? They were blessed with so much money, and one phase of their life was coming to an end. So now what?

As per the society, one might say that they were expected to settle down, buy a house, get a pet. But this little family here was planning something different.

He mentioned on his blog that most of the families around him were busy in buying house, settling into careers and just trying to be successful. But all of this doesn't feel right to this family. They wanted something different from this life, they had too many questions which still needed to be answered.

And what could be the best answer than traveling?

Scan has already provided all the financial freedom they needed. So they sold all of their belongings including apartment and cars and created a plan that will keep them from getting too much comfortable or buying things just because they can.

So, they set out on a journey last year in June.
