New York City is the second most popular tourist destination in thworld. Every single day, many outsiders visit the city and take thousands of photos. They flood the subway, and they barely leave tips for the waiters where they eat.
One of the common reasons to hate New York City is the fact that the prices can be outrageous. For example, a cocktail will immediately cost you $15 while burgers will cut you back around $26. If you ever decide to rent a small apartment, you'll have to shell out $2,500 every single month.
If you are a straight woman, you have to note that a significant portion of the NYC population are comprised of gay men, while straight men will have to be quite rich to maintain a relationship in NYC.
You might think that it's wonderful to interact with such a diverse collection of humans, but the subway in NYC has rats, roaches, homeless people that can disturb you sometimes, and disgusting liquid coming off some areas.
It might be brimming with life, but it also means that a lot of waste is produced every time. This is the price to pay for being an urban jungle.

Some people really do have crazy lives, but some are just too good to be true. When you are in New York City, it's not hard to be pressured to tell a grand tale instead of the truth.
If you are having a great day, then you have a lot of things you can do in New York City. But if you are feeling bad, it will eat you up with its crammed subway and urban chaos.
If you like to feel young and with many goals to accomplish, you'll appreciate the pace of life in New York. But if ever you get tired, you won't have much time and room to breathe.
It's okay if you don't agree with some of the points I mentioned here. *WINK*
