Being a police officer is not an easy job to do. You had to go through a lot of struggle, hard work, and dedication to get there. Once you are capable enough to take the job, you come across various dangerous situations and at times weird cases on a daily basis.

He didn't arrest the autistic student. He was well aware of the mental state of the kid, so he decided to sit on the floor next to him, and talked instead.
The CMPD Facebook page said, "Due to the young man's neuro-developmental disorder, he also had a history of displaying violent behavior. To build a connection with the young man, Officer Purdy sat next to him on the ground, talked things through and even got him laughing. Officer Purdy established trust and a relationship that allowed officers to get this young man the help that he desperately needed."
