Hate Story fame Surveen Chawla disclosed in an interview about casting couch issue faced by her in South film industry. She stated, "Oh ya! But surprisingly not in Bollywood. It came from the South film industry. I haven't seen the bad side of Bollywood yet. It seems like I have had some protective sources around me."
Madhur Bhandarkar remained caught for several years in the case of sexual molestation charged by the actress Preeti Jain. In 2004, Preeti Jain filed the case on 'Fashion' director for raping her several times. In 2011, the allegations levied on Madhur on the pretext of casting couch came out to be false.
Shakti Kapoor's casting couch story has always remained the most popular and unforgettable one in the B-town. When a leading news channel carried out sting operation on Shakti Kapoor, he was caught red-handed molesting the starlet in the footage. He promised some work to the girl in the industry in return of sexual favors. Shakti Kapoor defended himself by giving a very lame statement. He said, "She… sweet-talked me into meeting her. Any man would fall for this!"
Aman Verma received ill fame when a news channel made his objectionable audio viral in the industry. He was heard conversing with a female to spend a night with him in return of work.
Sunny Leone had also been a victim of casting couch in the industry. A famous film producer wanted to spend some intimate moments with the former adult actress. The producer even approached Sunny's husband Daniel Weber but his request was left unfulfilled by Sunny.
Payal Rahtogi accused the filmmaker Dibaker Banerjee on the grounds of sexually molesting her. Dibakar clarified in an interview, "Payal called me around March this year. She told me she wanted to do meaningful films. I met her at the business center of a 5-star hotel and told her she would have to give a screen test. Her messages conveyed her intentions. I told her if I wanted to cheat on my wife, I would have had an extramarital affair with a non-star. Just for casting someone in my film, I don't need to have a physical relationship with the person and go against my principles."
Rina Golan is an Israeli model who accused Subhash Ghai for sexually molesting her. In her book 'Dear Mr. Bollywood: How I Fell In Love With India', Rina has disclosed the ugly reality of filmmakers in the B-town. Rina has quoted an incident with reference to 'Taal' director in her book. She mentioned, "I want you to trust me and surrender to me completely. I will take you around with me everywhere and you'll see how your life will change."
Mamta Kulkarni accused the director Rajkumar Santoshi of sexually molesting her in the 90s. During the shooting of her movie 'China Gate' in 1998, the director proposed her for spending some cozy moments but she refused and disclosed the incident in the media.
Geetika Tyagi accused the filmmaker Subhash Kapoor for sexually assaulting her. A video showed the actress slapping Jolly LLB director after he accepted his offensive deed. When the video went viral, case was filed against Subhash for his indecent behavior.
Rani Mukerji's brother, Raja Mukerji tried to molest Pooja Mishra in car. Pooja wanted to cast Rani in her film and met Raja to discuss about the role. Eventually Raja Mukerji was arrested when Pooja filed a case against him.
