The US Presidential election is the hottest hashtag in the world. Donald Trump (along with Ted Cruz and John Kasich) is the nominee of Republican Party, whereas Hillary Clinton (along with Bernie Sanders) is the nominee of Democratic Party. Where Trump and Clinton are leading their respective primaries, the world wonders what would America actually look like in a Republican/Democratic autocracy.
Here's the difference between Republicans and Democrats.
Both parties favor the tax policies. Democrats believe that tax cuts should only be applicable to middle and low-income families & higher on corporations and wealthy individuals and corporations.
Republicans believe that tax cuts should be applicable on all -- corporations and people of all levels.
Republicans are conservative in nature. They are against gay rights, abortions & favor the right of gun ownership.
On the other hand, Democrats are completely polar. They favor gay rights & abortion and are strictly against gun control laws that limit ownership.
Republicans tend to oppose increment in minimum wages, favoring the need of keeping costs low so that all Americans can have access to products and services.
Democrats are in favor of increment in minimum wages so that the Americans have more money to purchase goods.
Democrats prefer a lot of government regulation and make health care a priority. They make sure health care is accessible to everyone.
Whereas, Republicans believe health care is a total wastage of resources. It will add up to the costs and may have a negative impact on the quality of care that consumers receive.
When military involvement may be required, the Democrats favor more targeted strikes and limited use of manpower.
Republicans favor a full military effort to displace regimes that are totalitarian and detrimental to their own people and who are threatening others.
Both parties typically agree that sending aid to other countries is a good thing, but disagree on the nature of that aid and who should be receiving it.
Democrats believe in progressive concepts like implementing Common Core System. Moreover, they favor in giving more money to students in the form of loans and grants.
Republicans favor longer hours and more focused programs. They prefer promoting giving loans to private sector, not public.
Democrats believe in investing tax dollars into social programs like welfare, unemployment benefits, food stamps and Medicaid that support people in need.
On the other hand, Republicans are a little tightened on this issue. They prefer supporting private organizations that support people in need.
Democrats believe in limiting the drilling of oil and preserving fossil fuels to protect the environment.
Republicans are expanding drilling to find more sources and making the resources available to people at lower prices.
Democrats encourage tax dollars for preservation of energy, whereas Republicans let the market decide.
Republicans believe in harsher punishment when someone commits a crime. They favor capital punishment & back a system with many layers to ensure proper punishment has been bestowed out.
Democrats believe that some crimes don't involve violence. They prefer lighter penalties & rehabilitation. They are also against capital punishment in any form.
Many people believe that people need to be protected against themselves. Democrats favor legislation that restricts some freedoms.
Republicans favor personal responsibilities. Every individual should be able to choose for themselves.
Vote wisely. God Bless America!
