Maeue suffered from paraphilic psychosexual disorder and his preferred method of sexual gratification was asphyxiating others. From 1988 and 2005, Maeue tried to strangle five people, but only received light sentences for two. Those few attempts were only practice for him though. When the internet suicide pacts grew in popularity in Japan, Maeue started hunting online. Maeue was arrested before he could claim more victims and was executed by hanging in 2009.
Dennis Nilsen was a homosexual killer who murdered 15 gay men within home in London. He retained his victim's bodies before dissecting their remains and disposing of their bodies by burning or flushing the remains down the toilet, which led to his capture when human flesh was discovered in his sewage system. Nilsen was convicted in 1983 of six counts of murder and was sentenced to life imprisonment. He remains imprisoned at Full Sutton maximum security prison in Yorkshire, England.
Hard to believe but Amardeep Sada is India's youngest serial killer. He was 8 when he was arrested in Begusarai, Bihar for the murder of three young children. It is said that his family knew of the first two murders but they did not inform the cops to keep the matter within the family. But when Amardeep killed the neighbor's daughter, the police was informed.
Charles Sobhraj, studies psychology, and is an expert on gemology. Sobhraj M.O. was to befriend western tourists hiking along the Hippie Trail, a path that wound its way through Asia.He used pills or powders to make his victims sick. When they were too weak to continue, he finished them off.He strangled, stabbed or burned them to death. Thinking of himself as a superhero, Sobhraj saw his crimes not as murders but as cleaning of earth.
Jeffrey Dahmer was an American serial killer and sex offender who raped and murdered 17 men and boys between 1978 and 1991. He also committed necrophilia and ate parts of victims, dismembering and cooking parts of their bodies. In 1992 Dahmer was convicted of 15 of the murders and sentenced to 15 terms of life imprisonment. However just two years into his sentence he was beaten cruelly to death by a fellow inmate.
This is one of the most famous unsolved murders in Indian history. In 1989, nine people living in Bombay were killed in a similar fashion - their heads were smashed with a heavy blunt object, prompting a Calcutta newspaper to name the unknown killer, The Stoneman.

He was found guilt of 15 cases but is believed to have killed up to 250 people. He was sentenced to life imprisonment and hanged himself in Wake-field Jail in 2004.
Gary Ridgway was arrested in 2001 for 4 murders though confessed to killing at least 70 women in Washington state throughout the 1980s. He used to dispose the bodies of dead into Green River.He avoided the death penalty by providing detailed confessions to cops. He was convicted of 49 murders and sentenced to life imprisonment.
Taneski reported a story about three women who had been violently raped and murdered. The women, ranging in age from 56 to 65, were all cleaners. Each one had been strangled with a telephone cord, packed into plastic bags and thrown outside the town. Despite Taneski's quiet and intellectual nature, his stories kept readers engaged with his incredible attention to all the details. His articles were so detailed they raised a few eyebrows among the local cops. Detectives wondered how Taneski knew things that had never been released to the public. Taneski was arrested on suspicion of murder and all the pieces started falling into place.
Luis Garavito admitted to the rape and murder of 147 young boys.The Colombia's victims were mostly poor boys aged between 8 and 16. The skeletons of 114 were found.
Shankariya, from Jaipur, India, murdered more than 70 people in a year using a hammer to kill. He told police that killing gave him pleasure. He was sentenced to death and his final words before being hanged were: "I have murdered in vain. Nobody should become like me."
