A young girl was driving to Portland so that she could pick up her sister who was coming back from a train journey. Her sister's train was delayed and she found out later that the train had caught fire.
It was a very risky time for the girl as she was waiting at the beach all alone in the night before the train could arrive. The girl was alone and scared because she didn't have anyone around. She reached out and called the police for help but something very shocking happened with the police officer.
Here's what happened.
Her sister was supposed to take a train to Old Orchard Beach in Maine. But the train was delayed and it was revealed that the train had caught fire.
She got hungry in the middle and decided to get some food. When she went to her car, she found out that her wallet had been stolen.
She didn't have any money on her and there was barely any gas left in the car. She decided to call the police and that's when she met the officer Sargent Gerard Hamilton.
He offered to help find her wallet.
He took her to the nearest gas station and offered to fill up her tank. She couldn't get home with a quarter tank of gas so he paid for the gas so she could safely reach home.
He was so grounded and yet so wise.
