Olympics is just around the corner. We can't wait to see who's gonna grab gold, silver and bronze medals this year. Olympics, for some, is simply a platform, a stairway to the limelight. There were many unknown Olympic athletes who turned into world-renowned celebrities. Right from Caitlyn Jenner (aka Bruce Jenner) to Hillary Wolf, here's a compilation of six celebs who went famous in no time.
Caitlyn Jenner won the gold medal in the decathlon at the 1976 Summer Olympics. Now, she is famous for reality TV, consorting with the Kardashians.

He inspired the world with his book, Baby and Child Care. In 1924, Spock, while a student at Yale, rowed for the U.S. men's crew team. He won a gold medal in Paris that summer.
Virginia Elizabeth "Geena" Davis is an American actress, film producer, writer, former fashion model, and former archer. Here's her Olympic history: She took up archery as a hobby in 1997. By 1999, she was shooting arrows competitively and was invited to try out for the U.S. Olympic Archery Team. Out of 300 archers, she was one the 28 women to reach the semifinals.
Statham was a star athlete as a child excelling in football and diving. He was on the English National Diving Squad for 12 years. In 1990, he competed in the Commonwealth Games. In 1992, he gave up diving when he was scouted by a modeling agency.
He's the lead singer of a legendary heavy metal band, Iron Maiden. Moreover, he's a licensed pilot that flies the band around on tour. He's also a world-class fencer. He was on track to compete in the 1984 Olympics, but he gave it up to spend a majority of his time in music. When he gave up fencing, he was the seventh greatest fencer in England.
In 1948, Sakata won a silver medal at the Summer Olympics. After wrestling professionally under the name Tosh Togo. He was discovered by a casting agent, and given the iconic role in Goldfinger, the third James Bond movie.
The role of Megan in Home Alone was played by Hillary Wolf. After appearing in Home Alone 2, she gave up acting to pursue Judo. She is four-time national judo champion and had a spot on the U.S. Olympic judo teams in 1996 and 2000.
