Meet the lady Marta Chlanova, 33, who managed to overcome her devastating illness and became a bodybuilding champion. She made certain changes in her diet plan which helped her to gain weight.

Then she began dieting at the age of 14 when a pitiless friend called her fat. Due to strict diet, her weight dropped sharply to 5st with BMI of just 12.6 at the age of 17.

Marta suffered from anorexia and got hospitalized several times but was unable to gain weight. She weighed the same as a malnourished kid.  

She joined gym at the age of 24 in Czech Republic and started bodybuilding.

Marta opted for arduous training and increased the intake of calories in her diet. She stopped eating solid food items and survived on the liquid diet for years. 

This happy-go-lucky lady now weighs 10st and has become a personal trainer now.

This 33-year-old lady used to have bananas and nuts in her shakes every day. After several years, she successfully overcame the disease and became the bodybuilder.

Marta, of Egham, Surrey, stated: 'I couldn't eat anything– it wouldn't sit right in my stomach. I would eat a nice meal and throw it up straight away. In fact, I would eat just to throw up. I liked the taste and I could get the pleasure from the food, but I didn't want the calories.'

This 33-year-old bodybuilder explained about her illness in teenage: 'It started like a normal diet. I was eating lots of fruit and vegetables and then I started eating smaller portions. My weight went down but I couldn't stop it anymore, it was out of control. I started eating pots of yoghurt three times a day.'

This bodybuilder made certain changes in her diet plan. She started the regular consumption of chicken, vegetables and carbohydrates in her diet. 

Fortunately, Marta succeeded in beating her illness.

Marta explained about the hardships faced by her. She stated: 'I was basically bones and skin. I started to lose my hair, my nails were brittle and I had dry skin. I was hospitalized three times and I was supervised to eat regularly and put on weight. But it wouldn't work. Even though I knew I shouldn't go any lower, I just couldn't stop it.'

This brave lady started training for the Natural Physique Association South East Championships and achieved third position in 2014. She stated: 'Gradually I got used to the idea of food and it felt better in my stomach. With time, I got better and now I eat six times a day, vegetables, protein like chicken or turkey, and carbs.' 

Marta now exercises and consumes 2,600 calories daily.

She explained: 'I weigh ten stone and I feel happier and healthier than ever. I'm now a personal trainer and I'm competing in another competition in July. I've literally built my body back from scratch.'
