Death is the only thing that is certain and final too. The people who die never can come back as they are gone forever and ever. But, yes their memories and moments spent with their loved ones always are alive in the hearts of people. Though life doesn't stop there and the family who loses its member has to move on without them.
Similarly, one such family of Florida lost a loved member and who was a police officer. After his death, the whole family was given immense support by the Police Department. And this was proved when the daughter goes to her prom. Let's really know how the Police officers showed their support and love.
Charlie Kondek of Tarpon Springs, Florida was shot during a routine call.
The crime devastated the entire community and shattered the lives of Charlie's loved ones. And most importantly his wife Teresa and daughter Aleena.
It is the dream of every father to see his daughter in a beautiful gown and traditionally it is the father who clicks pictures of her daughter on the special night. And there, Aleena thought she had missed the opportunity.
Teresa Kondek, mother of Aleena planned something very touching. She asked the officers to wait for Aleena when she stepped off for the prom.
The officers played the role of Aleena's father brilliantly, they escorted her till dance. They even texted her often and tried a lot to fill the void in her life.
"Sad because we have to be here," said Major Jeff Young. "Honoured because we can be here."
Yes. The wounds are hard to heal but it is so nice to know that Tarpon Springs PD has Aleena and her family's backs yet.
