After many unsuccessful auditions, five young men get finally selected who soon as events turn out, realise their own life similar to that of freedom fighters. The rhetoric writing and exceptional direction made the film a great success and thereby shattering many opening Bollywood records at the time of its release. It was also India's official entry for Golden Globe awards and Academy awards.
