Bangladeshi photographer GMB Akash has won the inaugural Neutral Density Photography Awards. Akash beat more than 3,000 entries to the title and the $2,500 cash prize. His winning image, called ‘Angels in hell’, centres on children working in factories in Bangladesh.
Additionally, Malou Reedorf (Italy), Johannes Heuckeroth (Germany), Sophie Gamand (United States), Thomas Morel (Norway) and Richard Humphries (Malaysia) were awarded with the title: Photographer of the Year in main categories and cash prizes of US $500.
This year, 24 international jurors reviewed over 3000 entries submitted by photographers in 76 countries. Jury picked the best of the best by awarding 90 Gold, Silver and Bronze medals in subcategories and hundreds of honorable mentions.
