When we travel to places, we surely use public restrooms. While some of them are perfectly maintained and seem to be quite clean, some others are awful enough to compel us to NOT pay heed to nature's calls.
But, when we encounter a hand dryer, we assume that it can cause no harm as what is that, just steam trying to dry our hands. Well, after reading this small piece of information, you'll never use them again.
It has been found out that they spread germs and bacteria. This has been revealed in a study to compare paper towels, hot air dryers and jet air dryers.
It was found that germs around the jet dryers and warm air dryers were far more than those around paper towel dispensers. Jet dryers happen to be the worst, as they had 4.5 times more bacteria than warm air dryers and a whopping 27 times more than paper towel dispensers.
The bacterias spread in the air through jet dryers stayed in the air for 15 minutes. This study led to a revolt in the hand dryer companies, which claimed that the study was conducted to increase sales of paper towels, which weren't cost effective and required the extensive use of paper.
If you wash them completely and thoroughly, there will be less bacteria and it won't matter what method you use.
