Who needs an introduction for the terrorist attacks on New York City, Washington DC, and Shanksville, Pennsylvania on September 11, 2001. Mor e than three thousand people lost their lives that day. Larry Silverstein, among the wealthiest property owner who worked on World Trade Center building. He had a dermatologist appointment that morning when attacks happened. His wife literally made it a compulsion to attend the doctor's appointment for Larry. Hence, he wasn't at the place and thus escaped his death.
Michael Lomonaco, Head Chef at the famous World Trade Center, located on the 106th and 107th floors of the building. On that morning, he had an appointment to get his glasses repaired at noon. But he decided to get his glasses repaired earlier. Because of a delay of almost 30 minutes, he got his life saved.
Gwyneth Paltrow missed a train that morning as she stopped by to greet her friend Lara Lundstrom Clarke. This small delay made her miss that train to the World Trade Center building 2, where she worked on the 77th floor.
Patti Austin, Grammy winner for her singing, booked a flight from Boston to San Francisco on 9/11. She had to change the flight to a day earlier because her mother had a stroke. Due to this, she was moved from performing the second night of the 'Michael Jackson' Tribute Concert in New York City, to the first night. This is why she escaped her death.
Julie Stoffer, Television star, on the morning of September 11, 2001, booked on American Airlines Flight from Boston to Los Angeles. But she missed that flight due to a fight with her boyfriend. What a lucky fight that must be!
Ian Thorpe, Australian swimmer, on 9/11 was out for a jog and intended to go to the observation deck at the World Trade Center but he realized that he forgot his camera and so he went back to his hotel which exactly why he is still alive.

The size of the crowd who were going to attend the conference was huge in numbers. Hence, the location was switched to the Millennium Hotel and a bigger room. Lucky!
Mark Wahlberg, actor, with his friends were scheduled to fly on American Airlines Flight from Boston to Los Angeles on that day. They changed their plans and decided to fly to Toronto, Canada, for a film festival at the last minute. That's how he escaped the 9/11 attacks.
Sarah Ferguson was in New York City on September 11, 2001. She was in NBC studios being interviewed by Matt Lauer when the first plane hit. She was scheduled to be in the building with the charity but she was running late and hence she had to cancel it.
Seth MacFarlane, brilliant actor and comedian, on September 11, 2001 was scheduled to return to Los Angeles on American Airlines Flight. Fortunately for MacFarlane, his travel agent told him his flight would leave Logan Airport at 8:15 AM, when it was actually scheduled to depart at 7:45 am. This is why he's still making us laugh.
