Most of us clearly have no idea how much our everyday items in the bathroom are prone to (and actually are) attacked by bacteria and germs.
YouTuber Melissa tells in one of her cleanliness related videos: "After cleaning the toilet, rest the brush between the bowl and the seat. Spray it generously with a disinfectant of your choice, I am using rubbing alcohol here, and let it sit, dripping wet, for 10 minutes or so."
"Then, rinse the brush in the hottest water you can find and allow to drip dry again, using the same method. You should never place a wet brush back into the brush container, that's when paranormal activity starts to happen."
Since saliva, blood and bacteria come in contact with our toothbrush on a daily basis, it's the most important object to be kept flawlessly clean. It's suggested to clean your brush thoroughly after each use, making sure it doesn't get crusty. Leaving it in a cup of vinegar for half-n-hour after use will kill the bacteria.
The loofah you use to clean yourself is home to bacteria already to make you cringe. Use white vinegar as a disinfectant and soak your loofah in it for an hour. Use it after dripping it dry.
Razors used with water get rusty and become home to bacteria from old hair and dead skin. An easy solution to it is rubbing the razor with alcohol before use and keeping it in a dry place to avoid rusting.
Plungers start to smell bad if not cleaned properly immediately after use. Spray some alcohol or any other disinfectant and let it sit for 10 minutes. Then run the plunger under steaming hot water for a couple of minutes. This kills the remaining bacteria and germs. Congratulations! Your bathroom is going to be cleaner than ever!
