Most of us have a common habit of removing shoes before entering someone's home. Generally, it is considered a manner and a mark of respect if we take off our shoes while entering someone's home.
Some people feel uncomfortable when asked to remove shoes as they take it as an imposition while some others don't want to show their feet or socks in public. whatever it is, but apart from all the reasons, the main reason behind this culture is health.
If you are not follow the "no shoes allowed inside the house " yet, then here is every reason you should start following it immediately.
The University of Houston did a study and found that 39% of shoes contained bacteria which is a health threat to everyone. They can affect our eyes, skin and lungs. So you should avoid wearing shoes inside the house.
Your shoes are usually full of dirt and chemicals that you would surely not want to spread all over your home, specially that unbearable smell coming from your shoes.
A research done by the Battelle Memorial institute found that toxins from treating your lawn can easily be tracked into the house and those dangerous toxins can give you long-term health problems. So removing shoes outside is an easy way to protect your health.
young children spend most of the time on the floor and are much closer to the floor, put toys that have been on the floor into their mouth . Toxic chemical can damage their developing immune system.
Wearing shoes for a longer period can cause you back pain. Your feet feels relaxed when you remove those dirty shoes .
If you are one of those who want to make your feet feel relaxed avoid wearing shoes for hours and clean them regularly, take your shoes off and pung them on a designated shelf in your entryway as soon as you get home.
If you know that your guests don't have the same habit, you can advise them to bring some slippers or socks – of course, if you are close enough friends!
