Real friendship knows no color, boundaries, gender, race, political ideology, the degree of awkwardness, the level of intellect or whatever you may think of. As long as you have that mutual understanding and you understand each other like brothers and sisters, there's no problem in it. On the other side of the coin, no single individual has the right to measure and judge another's chosen friendship, because it's not them who truly understand it's simple complexity, and the ones who really enjoy the benefits of the relationship are those within it. Does it make sense?
If you would look at this story for today, you may feel like a judge because you will really say that this kind of friendship is impossible. Well, science and ecology would even attest to the technical drama that reptiles and mammals are not compatible--although we should know that in the course of evolution, these two groups are taxonomically related. But then, a certain animal owner from Pennsylvania break the chain of this odd idea. Here we go.
You read it right! This 20-year old woman made it possible for Charles (the lizard) and Baby (the cat) to cuddle together, and form a strong unbelievable friendship.
Nine months ago, she was even worried that Baby would munch the then minute Charles. But again, not all assumptions are real and valid.
When Baby was four, Charles approached the feline, and he sort of 'invited' the cat for a cuddle. I don't know for certain how this invitation came about, but according to Chyenne's remarks, that's a very magical moment that turned these two creatures into an inseparable duo.
Sleeping, watching what's happening outside, strolling--name it. They're too comfortable to have things accomplished with each other's company.
They would also love to watch birds flying from the outside world. What a cute hobby!
Who would not buy this cuteness overloading?
As a lizard--a cold blooded animal, Charles favors to stay in a facility under a heat lamp. Believe it or not, this becomes one of the sadest moments for Baby.
What if one of them dies immediately? I cannot imagine the volume of sadness that can be felt by one, especially by it's owner. Let's hope that these pair will stay stronger together, and will have longer life spans. Alright!
It's absolutely amazing right? What are your thoughts?
