Daljinder Kaur, the 70-year-old woman who went under two years of IVF treatment at a fertility clinic in the northern state of Haryana gave birth to a baby boy last month. Kaur's 79-year-old husband Mohinder Singh Gill stood by her side when the married couple tried to have their own child after 46 years of marriage.
The old mother is taking full care of her newborn baby. Kaur's husband talks about their son Armaan's future, "People say what will happen to the child once we die. But I have full faith in God. God is omnipotent and omnipresent, he will take care of everything."
72-year-old Kaur says now her life feels complete. Kaur's husband Mohinder Singh Gill owns a farm outside Amritsar, Punjab.
"God heard our prayers. My life feels complete now. I am looking after the baby all by myself, I feel so full of energy. My husband is also very caring and helps me as much as he can," said the mother of the one-month-old. The married couple of 46 years has named their son 'Armaan'.
On April 19, 2016, the baby weighed just two kilograms (4.4 pounds) at birth.
Omkari Panwar, wife of a retired Indian farmer gave birth to a baby boy and girl back in 2008 using IVF treatment.
She too underwent an IVF treatment to give birth to her babies at the age of 65.
