But what was that EMOJI about? Let's find out.
A man from the Drome area of southeast France sent the cartoon picture to his ex-girlfriend.
The text contained no words but a Gun Emoji, which was considered as a threatening message. The boy sent those messages after their bad breakup.
According to a French newspaper, the Emoji scared his former girlfriend that she couldn't sleep and declined to leave her home.
Though the defendant accepted that he sent those messages and moreover his lawyer contested that sending an Emoji should not be considered as threat message.
... and the lawyer had no say over what a woman considered as threat.
Normally sending a death threat message serves the sender 3 years of imprisonment and a huge fine. While the man was ordered to pay only 1000 euro and 3 months of suspension.
