Though we've already moved away from all those unnecessary criteria that had separated the society, we are still stuck with this black and white thing. The color of a person is yet a big concern in the 21st century. The issue was also raised and heated up in the Oscars when no black celebrity came out as a winner. Many dusky colored celebrities swept the internet by sharing their Strong points on Twitter and Facebook.
Recently, a waitress named Ashleigh Schultz who works in Western Cape, South Africa was insulted and bullied by a customer. He is Ntocozo Quebe, a student who refused to offer her a tip for being white and saying that: "we will give you a tip when you will return land." That wasn't enough for him, he insulted the waitress and made her crying and posted his a so-called victory status on Facebook. It caught attentions of various users and went viral. And, this time, the social media has made him learn a big lesson.
He proudly shared the post of his deed on Facebook which backfired him. The readers of the post sympathize the poor lady, who is struggling to earn bread and butter for her family and for the treatment of her mother who is suffering from cancer.
When they got to know that the girl, Ashleigh Schultz, is a student and also works to treat her sick mother, they decided to make a GoFundMe page for accumulating as much as $6,185 tip for her in order to provide her financial help for her mother's treatment and for her education too.
Ashleigh's friend said, "This is so sweet of everyone that donated. The other idiot (Quabe) still needs to be slapped though."
