Lisa Swanson had to go through something no mother deserves to. Her 18-year-old son Levi Schulz died in a road accident in 2012. When Lisa and her family were going through this horrible situation, Levi asked his mom to donate his organs to someone in need.
Four years after Levi's death and a heart transplant operation, Lisa Swanson was made to 'listen' something she couldn't hold her tears after.
Before he passed, he had a conversation with his mother, Lisa Swanson, about donating his organs.
When Lisa asked her dying son Levi the same, he replied, "Mom, who wouldn't want my awesomeness?" Levi's sportsmanship to donate his organs to a person he wouldn't probably ever meet brought happiness into someone else's life.
Hooper was diagnosed with a terrible condition called Cardiomyopathy, a disease which affects the heart's ability to pump blood back in 2003. His condition was getting worse with time. His aortic valves were leaking and he badly needed a heart transplant to survive.
When his heart started to give up and worked only at 5%, his name was put on the transplant list.
The hospital staff noticed that Levi and Terry were a match on the transplant list. After three days of Levi's death, the transplant was conducted.
Lisa met Terry for the first time after four years of the transplant.
The doctors made Lisa hear Terry's heartbeat, which was her son's. It was a very emotional moment for everyone. Lisa said, "I get happiness and sadness at the same time. Sad that my son is not here, but happy that he was able to help Terry and that a part of him is still alive."
