Cocamide DEA is known to be a potentially carcinogenic compound--meaning, it can trigger cancerous cells in the body to be activated and spread.

He pointed out that companies will continue to claim that these products are safe enough but it cannot be denied that their shampoos contain such harmful compounds.

Companies are expected to act upon these findings, and make suitable solutions to address this possible health threat.
