But why do we close our eyes during kissing?
It's true. If we were to keep our eyes open, we would be getting a tactile and visual sensation at the same time.
Our brain cannot focus equally on two different stimuli at the same time.
Hence, in order to concentrate on the kiss, we automatically shut our eyes so that our brain won't be distracted from the kiss.
Humans tend to give more importance to the stimulus of touch rather than visual stimuli due to their more protective quality.
So instead of getting distracted by objects or activities happening around us while we're kissing, we choose to shut our eyes.
