In a recent study, Dr. Mary Newport revealed that the body produces ketones while digesting coconut oil. These ketones are essential for the prevention of Alzheimer's disease. If this study comes out to be worthy, it could probably be one of the greatest discoveries for treating Alzheimer's disease.
Dr. Newport had a personal history of the disease when her husband Steve fell unwell that he couldn't retrieve a water bottle from the fridge. He barely had any short term memory left, and he was constantly in a fog. He was taking his medications on time, but they didn't seem to improve his condition at all. Then she decided, it was something related to his diet.
After that, she made the greatest discovery ever.
The production of Ketone or Medium chain triglycerides renders more oxygen to the brain which helps in recovering from acute ischemic attacks and shrinks tumors as well.
In cases of insulin resistance or extreme starvation, the body utilizes Ketone bodies as a source of energy. These Ketone bodies are used as a last resort to keep the cells alive and functioning.
Dr. Newport says that just 60 days after starting with coconut oil therapy for her husband, he was more alert and happy.
He had developed a tremor which is nearly gone now, plus he was more talkative now.
He wasn't easily distracted or confused anymore. The coconut oil worked like magic.
Dr. Newport reports that after a year of coconut oil treatment, her husband is a different person altogether. He still has some difficulty with conversations but he seems happier and more participant in activities.
By consuming 2 spoons twice a day, there would be a constant amount of Ketone bodies circulating in the brain which would keep the oxygen capacity of the brain enhanced at all times.
Steve's disease has come to a halt point and he is no longer deteriorating. In fact, he gets better every day and his brain's functioning has improved a lot.
