IPL has been a home to controversies since the day it started. It's like IPL and controversies go hand in hand. The 8th edition or IPL 2015 has witnessed quite lot controversies. Many believe that these controversies make the game even more interesting.  From abusing, brawling to spot fixing, IPL has witnessed it all. The Chennai Super Kings were valued at only five lakhs by their owner in 2015. This became a big controversy as the team was valued at 450 crores last year.
The 2013 edition of the tournament proved to be a bad season for Rajasthan Royals. Three key players of the team were allegedly involved in spot-fixing. But, in 2015 the management of the team reported to the BCCI that one of their players was approached for fixing. Even its owner Raj Kundra was under the eyes of the law as a suspected one.
KKR was on the verge of quitting the tournament when their key spinner Narine was not allowed to bowl any more in the tournament. After clearing all the tests in Chennai, Narine was all set to bowl for the team. But midway into the tournament, Narine was banned again.
According to reports, Robin Uthappa held the young player's collar during a match. This happened behind the camera when AB De Villiers and Ashoke Dinda rushed to help young Sarfaraz.
During a match, some words were passed between the two Caribbean players Kieron Pollard and Chris Gayle. Seeing this, the umpire told Kieron Pollard to shut his mouth. Next thing we know is that Pollard is bowling with a tape over his mouth.
Lalit Modi sparked a controversy when he said that at least four players from Chennai team were involved in Spot-fixing.
I guess everyone remembers this game and the heated argument between the two Indian batsmen. They were literally ready to hit each other and even had a heated argument with the umpire on the field!
The anti-corruption code of the ACSU was breached by many team members and their franchises. Preity Zinta and SRK allegedly hosted a party with players where outsiders were also present.
According to the protocol, a player is not allowed to meet any non-accredited members during a match. Virat Kohli breached the code by going to meet his then Girlfriend, Anushka Sharma.
In a post-match interview, MS dhoni claimed that they lost the match partly because of a wrong decision by the umpire. He was fined for this "Wrong Decision" Comment.
