The world we live in is a cesspool of hidden secrets and mysteries, mysteries that lurk in the shadows of our ignorance. We don't even realise it but the strands of the web of unsolved and confounding agendas have been woven around us and everytime we even twitch a finger, we find ourselves more stuck than before. These hidden agendas, these schemes are invisible to the eyes of us commonwealth and those who are cunning enough to architect them, they mask it, paint it in different colours, or build a friggin building over it and call it "an accident" or "coincidence". Well if you ask me, the universe is barely that lazy.
So listed below are five such unsolved, confounding and yet thought provoking mysteries which will push us to ask ourselves "Are we really safe in the world we live?"
Michael Hastings was a journalist who worked for "BuzzFeed" and "The rolling stones" during his prime years. He was a well-known maestro of his work line and was widely celebrated. His article in 2010 was so effective and such a solid piece of journalism that it got a certain American army general, fired in Afghanistan. On June 18, 2013, when he was living in L.A., Hastings met his demise as he crashed his car into a palm tree and soon enough, his Mercedes turned into a burning ball of an inferno, and he turned into a piece of charcoal. His body was so badly burnt that he could only be I.D'd by his fingerprints. His friends say that before that night, Hastings was in a state of absolute fear because he believed that the government was after him. At the time, he was working on an expose article about a certain CIA operative. When the news broke out, and investigators were asked about the cause of death, they told media that he was paranoid and had a history of drug abuse. Even though the investigators and governments have shaken their hands off this allegation of getting him murdered, there are still some people out there, who believe that Hasting's death was designed.
On August 31, 1997, the world was taken over by jaw-dropping surprise as the reports of Princess Diana's death began to surface. She was in a Mercedes along with her boyfriend Dodi Al Fayed, when it crashed at a speed of 60 mph in Paris's Alam tunnel. The officials were quick to respond and issue a statement that the accident was an outcome of an evasion scheme from the paparazzi, but later it was also told to the media that the driver was drunk when the crash happened. In contrast to the official report, it is believed that the accident was orchestrated by MI6 to prevent Diana, who allegedly was pregnant at the time, from marrying into a non-Christian family. Although this theory has been denied by the royal family and MI6 over and over but the evidences are undeniable. Firstly, none of the camera, inside and outside the tunnel, captured the accident. Then in the car, there were traces of white paint which belonged to a Fiat Punto. The car was never found and the person linked to the car committed suicide in 2000. On top of this, Diana wrote a letter to her butler, telling him about her fear for her life.
United Airlines Flight 553, on December 8, 1972, when it was en route to Chicago suddenly crashed in a sub-urban area and killed 43 out of 61 passengers including Dorothy Hunt: wife of a Watergate conspirator. At first, the pilot was blamed for this ordeal, but then opinions changed when the final fourteen minutes were found missing from the data recorder. It is believed that CIA engineered this crash to put a sock in hunt's mouth as she threatened to expose government secrets if they didn't drop the charges against her husband. The allegations against CIA gets more sound when it is taken into account that hunt was carrying 10k $ with her which she intended to use to take care of the legal affairs once she landed in Chicago.
Gareth Williams died on August 16, 2010, was a mathematician and a code breaker for MI6. This was one of the most confounding deaths to ever surface. His body was found in the red bag you see in the picture, which was locked from the outside, naked. The bag was in the bathtub of his sojourn at that time. While the entire thing leaves authorities and investigators bewildered, theories of murder surround this case. Gareth, just days before his death was cleared for on location missions and was about to go undercover. Some investigators say that this was a suicide, and some say it was some bondage sex try-out gone wrong. The same feat had been tried to replicate a number of times, but without any success. In September 2015 Boris Krapichkov, a former KGB agent exposes that Russian intelligence was responsible for the murder because Gareth refused to work as a double agent for them, he also says that Gareth was poisoned with an undetectable poison which was injected in him through his ear.
On 15th April 1912, the supposedly unsinkable ship RMS TITANIC sank in the North Atlantic Ocean after colliding with an ice-berg during its debut voyage from Southhamptons to New York taking lives of more than 1500 passengers. Among them, however, were three passengers whose deaths, according to some, was the inspiration behind this monstrous but engineered ordeal. Benjamin Guggenheim, Isador Strauss, and John Astor, three of the wealthiest men in the entire world were also aboard that ship. According to sources, all three of them were against the formation of the United States Federal Reserve whose in charge was to be J.P.Morgan. Finding his plans endangered by these men, Morgan, whose company financed the construction of Titanic, ordered to exchange the parts of the ship with the parts which were scavenged from some other wrecked ship. This sure was a happy co-incidence if you can call it that, that all three who could sabotage the plans were gone in one single blow, along with 1500 other men and women of course.
