Hope in humanity was lost when the internet came to know about the sickening tradition of abandonment of little kids by their own parents considering the kids to be witches. A 2-year-old boy was found living on the streets of Nigeria, abandoned by his family who called him a 'witch.' He was rescued on 31st January 2016 by a social aid worker Anja Ringgren Loven. After intense care and affection, the health of the boy has improved and recently Anja Loven shared one of his current photos.
Have a look!
After his parents and society abandoned him, calling him a 'witch', he was rescued by Anja Ringgren Loven, a social worker from Denmark.
He was left on his own and even after being taken under care, his chances of survival were very less.
It was very tough to bring back his health since he had been wandering on the streets for more than eight months without proper food and clothes.
Anja speaks about him: "The day I carried this sweet little boy in my arms for the very first time, I was so sure he would not survive. Every breath he took was a struggle and I did not want him to die without a name, without dignity, so I named him Hope. Hope to me is a special name. Not only the meaning of Hope but what it stands for. Many years ago I got the name HOPE tattooed on my fingers because to me it means: Help One Person Everyday."
