People have real-life, first-hand experiences of celebrities' true colors. Some stories about them may sound tragic or disappointing but let us look at the brighter side of the coin. We never really know how a celebrity deals with people in real life without an actual discussion or interaction with them--over lunch, coffee, snack or whenever.
This is a story of the late Robin Williams, who we have loved for decades. Who was never moved by his masterpieces "Popeye", "Mrs. Doubtfire", "Jumanji", "Night at the Museum" and many more? He did an absolutely amazing job. Interestingly, he's more than that.
Aside from being a comedian and a silver screen writer, he knew how to capture the hearts of real people. If you happen to miss these stories about our beloved Robin, take a look at this anecdote.
The anecdote was shared by a person whom his family encountered Robin Williams at the darkest moments of their lives. It was when his grandmother and grandfather died, when his grandfather killed his wife and himself.
In a church for hours, his father and mother took a lot of responsibilities to help the immediate family get through one of the saddest possible funerals in a family-oriented group. They cleaned things up and assisted guests in any way possible.
But before that, his dad thought of pulling over to grab some doughnuts at the nearest shop. Surprisingly, our most loved comedian is there, doing his own thing.
It was some doughnuts, and coffee. Perfect!
And from then, he had this realization that the family is going through something painful.
...and started to initiate some conversation.
But according to the one who testifies, what caught his attention is the fact that the comedian has the same name as his aunt.
Robin managed to make his parents laugh genuinely. For him, it was a gift. Robin was a hero back then. His family cherished this a lot, that even his father remember the story as if it was yesterday. Above all, what made this story best is how Robin was humbled enough to make people around him feel better and happier.
