IN Celebrities ON
Twitter recently completed its 10 years. As it happened, fans all over the world reacted on how Twitter helped several of the celebrities to connect with their fans over the years. However, throughout the decade, Twitter was also an Internet space that witnessed several controversies. From celebrity feuds to the account hackings, Twitter has seen it all.
Check out some of the wackiest and craziest celebrity Twitter hacks of all time:
If you are a conspiracy theorist, you're gonna love this one. In November 2009, Miss Spears' Twitter account got hacked. Hackers changed her Twitter background that represented Illuminati and tweeted "hope that the new world order will arrive as soon as possible!". Someone from her account tweeted that she had died a few months prior to this incident. Creepy, isn't it?
When Miss Jenner's Twitter got hacked, the hackers spared no one. Their tweets mocked Caitlyn Jenner, Justin Beiber's nude photos and made insensitive jokes about eating disorders! Ouch!
Blac China tweeted, "I never really loved Tyga, it was always about the money after he took me out of the strip club and gave me a beautiful family." We don't blame her for blaming Tyga for these tweets!
In 2013, hackers tweeted Lil Wayne's lyrics from Trump's account: "These hoes think they classy, well that's the class I'm skippen."
Hackers sent out some highly offensive tweets from his account. They wrote, "The real reason I made [new single] 6'7 is cuz that's how tall the n---a in rikers was that raped me."
Hackers didn't spare Mother Monster. Someone logged on to the singer's account and began promising iPads and MacBooks to all her followers. Gaga in trouble.
A "hacktivist" group called the Syrian Electronic Army successfully broke into the POTUS Twitter account, tweeting links that re-directed to YouTube videos supporting the president of Syria.
Hackers trolled Emma with the help of an anagram "nawder nad islasehne tsintgi ni a erte" which, when unscrambled, translates to: "Andrew and Shailene sitting in a tree." referring to her relationship with Andrew Garfield.
The hacker was apparently a fan of Somerhalder's ex and tweeted out a short "I love you" to Dobrev from the actor's account. Too much Vampire Diaries I guess!
Shortly after being named Blackberry's Global Creative Director, Keys sent out a tweet of a Drake lyric. But that isn't even the main problem! The Tweet read: 'Via Twitter for iPhone."
Hackers broke into Taylor's Twitter and threatened to release her nudes. She tweeted back: "PS any hackers saying they have 'nudes'? Psssh you'd love that wouldn't you. Have fun photoshopping cause you got NOTHING."
E!'s Twitter feed flooded with fake tweets centered around Justin Beiber being gay? Selena, was that you? *wink*
Hackers didn't spare the Kardashian sisters, just like everyone.. Even though it was April Fools' Day, the tweets were still alarmingly foul and full of potty humor.
Ashton tweeted: "First official sleepover with my girl @lorenescafaria so maybe breakfast with everyone next time! (@ Lorene's House)." Ashton got back on Twitter and said that he had found the address of the hacker and was all set to persecute him.
A hacker, revealed to be a 21-year-old named Gareth Crosskey broke into Selena's Twitter and tweeted "Oh yeh, JUSTIN BIEBER SUCKS!!!!!!!!!". He was arrested in May 2012.
