I love WWE, but that does not mean that it will always stay the way I want it to. Wrestlers are also humans who age and get injured, so someday you simply won't see them in the ring.
But for some lucky wrestlers, their final match happened in the grandest event of WWE: WrestleMania. Here are some of the lucky wrestlers who fought for the last time at WrestleMania.
Bradshaw was quite popular during the Attitude Era because of his APA tag team. Eventually, he became a heel that was successfully managed. His final match was against Rey Mysterio at WrestleMania 25, but it only lasted 11 seconds.
During his match against Alberto Del Rio at WrestleMania 27 for the World Heavyweight championship, fans did not know that it would be his final fight.
Edge was a significant portion of the TLC series, but he also suffered many injuries and doctors did not want him to wrestle anymore. If only Edge was allowed to announce his retirement at WrestleMania, his match could have been more grand and emotional.
Andre's final WWE match happened just three years after he had a classic match with Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania III. His final match was a tag team fight to defend his Tag Team championship with Haku.
While Andre lost his Tag Team championship title at WrestleMania VI, it was still quite a privilege to have had his final match at WWE's biggest event.
Stone Cold is one of the most memorable wrestlers. Another great thing was his last WWE match against The Rock. It was a fitting ending because The Rock was his greatest rival.
While he did lose against The Rock, Austin did return to WWE, but not as a wrestler.
While Ric Flair did join TNA after his WWE retirement, the fans will always know that his WrestleMania 24 match was his true farewell.
Vince McMahon noted that if Ric Flair lost, he should retire. Initially, he won every match, until he had to fight Shawn Michaels.
HBK had a terrific match against Undertaker back at WrestleMania 25, so he wanted to fight him again. However, if he lost to Undertaker, he had to retire. Sadly, Shawn Michaels was defeated and he had to end his legendary career at WWE.
