The World is often surprised by various troubles at different corners of it. Some are beaten up by natural calamities whereas others by penury. But, the farmer community suffers from both, natural phenomena as well as a lack of sufficient finance. Since last many years, the media and newspapers are stuffed with the news of the pathetic condition of poor farmers and their suicide attempts. The government has been seen initiating various agriculture schemes and policies in their favour but nothing worked out and the rate of suicide attempts has been seen increasing every year.
The suicide of the only man earning bread worsens the situation for his family as well. Each day they spend seems like a curse and they find no hope for the other day, though there is a different society of people who have everything more than the requirement and they could be volunteers to kill the poverty. Many great hands came forward, among them, there were two helping hands of veteran actor Nana Patekar, who took a bit of the responsibility of the widows and family of dead poor farmers. He donated Rs 16-lakhs to the widows of 133 farmers who had committed suicide. His great deed is still unnoticed.
