The study done by Annals of Nutrition & Metabolism demonstrated that the most appropriate choice for breakfast is an Oatmeal.
Study's sample included 36 women and men. These all were divided into 3 distinct groups and all of the candidates were asked to consume 350 calories.
The first group consumed oatmeal in breakfast, the second had cornflakes and the last group did not take any breakfast, and only consumed water. After 3 hours, the participants measured their state of fullness.
After 3 hours, the participants who took cornflakes and consumed water felt the hunger whereas the ones who had oatmeal felt stuffed. This showed that oats retained much longer than anything else.
Oatmeal is found to be the most suitable breakfast or first meal of the day. Its derivatives including flakes are considered tasty as well as healthy at the same time.
Oats contain fibre in them that get increased in volume by themselves and hence the person feels full for a longer time. This is the best way to maintain the weight and to count calories.
Oats bind bad fat with themselves during digestion, as a result, the level of cholesterol gets declined.
