We keep trying to look better today than yesterday. Some do it for themselves and others do it only to meet the standards the society sets for us. But some things get in your way. Things as small yet irritating as unwanted hair. The only ones benefitting from this are the commercialized hair removal products.
So lo and behold- here are some ancient but really effective techniques for hair removal. Read on.
First, take a few nutshells, roughly a handful of them.
Yes, literally just burn the nutshells.
Mix the roast of nutshells in some water. Let the mixture stand for 12 hours. Don't worry, this isn't complicated chemistry.
Now just apply the gauze on your skin and hold it for about thirty minutes or so. Continue this for a few weeks and you'll get the results you've always desired.
This one is an ancient Egyptian art called 'Body sugaring'. A cheap, homemade alternative of waxing.
Take some sugar. Not a spoon of it, but two whole cups.
Now add about 1/4 a cup of water to it.
Lastly, add roughly 1/4 of lemon juice to the sugar solution. Heat the solution till it reaches a soft ball candy stage.
Now boil the solution till a temperature of 250F is reached. Use a candy thermometer to get the temperature right.
Apply it gently on the skin after it is cool enough. Once this is done, cover them with thin cotton strips and wait for about fifteen minutes.
Now, like done in waxing, rip the cotton strips off with a jerk.
It might sound quite like how waxing is done, but you must know that it isn't at all as painful.
