There is a thing about child stars. They stay child stars all their lives because by the time they are 18 or more, they've either been to rehab twice, or are lesbian (which is not an offence but hey, media screws that up somehow real well) or if nothing, they're just poor sods who cannot act well anymore. But they always look good. So I'd give them that. Or I would have if I hadn't seen the Olsen twins now.
The pretty girls who won hearts of almost everyone for a couple of decades have been away from the limelight for a while now. And how they look now will melt your heart if you have ever been their fan.
When they were just six months old, Mary-Kate and Ashley were cast as Michelle Tanner on the ABC family sitcom Full House.
Playing the role of Michelle Tanner, the girls won hearts all over the nation.
As the girls grew older, their roles grew bigger and better as well.
They recorded their first album Brother For Sale and also starred in their very first film To Grandmothers House We Go.
The world just couldn't get enough of Mary-Kate and Ashley.
In 1995 the girls got their first Hollywood break when they filmed their first major motion picture 'It Takes Two', starring Steve Guttenberg and Kirstie Alley.
Because there was always someone or the other who wanted to sign them and they had their albums too.
The girls decided to expand their horizons in 2001 and started their own fashion line.
The last time the girls were seen together in any movie was in 2004.
In 2006, the twins were signed as the faces of Badgley Mischka and in 2007 created their own line, Elizabeth & James.
In five years since they started off their brand, they were named the Womenswear Designers of the Year by the Council of Fashion Designers of America.
They have been very successful as designers, this is how they look today.
