Syria being a country of war and violence, the women and young girls out there suffer the most. Recently, a Syrian artist got an opportunity to make these young girls feel like children for the first time. They were dressed up as Disney princesses, so they got to have a costume party where everyone had fun. Initially, it was so unnatural to them because they had never seen a normal childhood before.
In Syria, the life of young girls is disrupted due to war, violence, gender discrimination, exploitation of females and early marriage. The purpose of this camp was to spread awareness about education, so that the young girls can have a life of their own and not fall prey to malpractice happening in the country.
They have met in the refugee camp or been born there.
And yet they believe in fairy tales and wish to have a happy ending for themselves.
These girls who resided in the Syrian refugee camps were completely normal girls, just like all of us, but hide their dreams and aspirations due to fear.
Some girls never knew what a real childhood felt like and it was an exhilarating experience for them.
Since most of them are just living there without any purpose of life, they decided to throw a costume party and hence, spread awareness about education.
They have seen the harsh realities of life from a very early age and yet their spirit is still strong.
