Different kind of people recommend a varied diet for staying healthy but it depends upon you that which health regimen are you willing to follow. Certain diet has always attracted people, and they are more than eager to try them out. One such example is of Andrew Flinders Taylor, who is into potatoes way too much than a normal human being. Actually, he eats only potatoes. Now, what will such a diet lead to?
Let's find out.
He's a self-proclaimed avid kayaker and "wannabe sportsman". Though, he has been unhappy with his fitness level in the past two years.
He saw food as something more than fuel to keep his body moving.
Out of the new dishes he tried out made of potato, this is a potato pancake.
A whopping 22 pounds.
However, his dietician advised him to add some sweet potato to the mix while Taylor was only eating white potatoes.
Potatoes are a hub of vitamin C, potassium and fiber.
Chris Voight, who is also a follower of the same diet, warned that there are side-effects to this diet. If on this diet, you wouldn't get enough calcium, vitamins A, E, and K and protein as potatoes are deficient in it.
Along with potatoes, he went for calcium-fortified soy milk but many nutritionists suggested that one cannot live off just potatoes.
As Mark Haub lost almost 27 pounds by staying on diet which included Twinkies, Doritos and Oreos.
..his cholesterol was at good levels, "I'm not geared to say this is a good thing to do."
As he was getting almost 1,000 calories less than the required numbers which weren't goood for his health.
