For past few months, we all have been scratching our heads, and guessing as to who will be this year's winners. Now most popular nomination was, of course, Leo DiCaprio. But Mad max- Fury Road and Spotlight were hot topics too. Well the wait is over, here it is, the list of all the winners of 88th Academy Awards. Mad max managed to bag six Oscars!
Award for best picture was bagged by Spotlight. Well deserved I'd say. In the picture you can see the cast's reacting after the name was announced. This movie really dealt with topics of child molestation and blind faith with absolute expertise.
Well I was rooting for Mark Ruffalo to win this one, but Mark Rylance sure did a great job in Bridge Of Spies.
Now this one was a shocker; nobody believed that young Alicia Vikander will bag the Oscar, that too when she was nominated alongside the likes of Kate Winslet and Rachel McAdams! Well, Kudos!
No complains with this one, I loved this movie, and even though I loved BOY AND THE WORLD too, I kind of had this feeling that Inside out will bag this one.
Emmanuel Lubezki bagged another Oscar for his brilliant and A-class work for Revenant, and for those who don't know him, this is his hatrick Oscar, yes he won the very same award for Birdman last year and for Gravity the year before that! That is quite an accomplishment if you think about it.
Mad Max- Fury Road bagged this baby. Designer Jenny Beavan received her award for her brilliant work in the movie.
And another one in the bag, Margaret Sixel won the oscar for her magical work on George Miller's master piece (Mad Max- Fury Road).
Elka Wardega with her co-workers Lesley Vanderwalt and Damian Martin accepted the oscar for best makeup and hairstyling job in Mad Max- Fury Road.
Ennio Morricone won the Oscar for best music score for his work in The Hateful Eight.
Sam Smith won Oscar for Writing's On The Wall, Spectre. As he received the awards, he spoke about being the first openly gay man to have won this prestigious award.
Colin Gibson took this award for his marvelous work in Mad Max- Fury Road
The award was given to Adam McKay and Charles Raondoplh for Big Short.
Spotlight writers Tom MaCarthy and Josh Singer took home these beautiful ladies with them for their brilliant screenplay.
Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu took home his second, consecutive oscar for direction. He won he same award for Birdman, and this year, for The Revenant. This is the first time in 65 years that we've had a repeat winner in this category.
Brie Larson swept away this award for best actress for her role in gorgeously made movie, ROOM. She shared this category with Jenifer Lawrence and Cate Blanchett but beat them fair and square.
And here it is, the victory entire world was praying for. Leonardo Dicaprio finally got his golden lady for his brilliant work in The Revenant. More than him, I guess we fans are excited, because we know, that he deserved it for Wolf f wall street too. Well finally his wait is over, and with it, out agony did too. Congrats sir Leo, you now truly are, the king of the world!
