Donald Trump is making headlines yet again for a whole lot of different..no same reasons, yet again. This time, it is about him and Pope Francis. Wait what? When did Pope Francis enter the equation? Well, he did. And, he did so with a bang. Apparently, Mr. Trump wants to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border and hence, he entered the radar of the religious leader. Let's hear out what Pope Francis said about this statement.
When the presidential candidate Donald Trump revealed his plan of building a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border.
"A person who only thinks of building walls, wherever they may be, and not building bridges, is not Christian," Pope said when asked about Mr. Trump's plans.
"I am not going to get involved in that. I would only say that this man is not Christian if he has said things like that."
Trump's social media director, Dan Scavino, tweeted this. Turns out that he has views of his own.
"No leader, especially a religious leader, has the right to question another man's religion or faith," he said.
"I don't like fighting with the pope," Trump said. "I think he said something much softer than was originally reported by the media. I think that he heard one side of the story, which is probably by the Mexican government."
