Over the years WWE has lost a lot of its viewership because of the new content the show has brought in. People have now lost interest in the new storyline as it is very predictable and not at all entertaining. The storyline of the show has lost its track and is getting a lot boring. WWE should provide a stable content. It should not deviate from the primary focus i.e. the storyline. They start a new fight and then deviate from that to focus on other random bookings. This makes the fans loose interest in the show.
Jim Ross was the most powerful commentator in WWE's history, and WWE made a huge mistake in letting him go. Nobody can ever forget his strong and powerful commentary in the most highlighted events in WWE. He is now working for the New japan pro wrestling league.
Most of the WWE speeches are pre-scripted. Back in the days, there was no such thing as a script. Wrestlers would give their speeches on their own. With these speeches, WWE has lost its originality completely.
Many moves are now banned in the WWE. Many fans watched the show just to see their favorite wrestlers do their signature moves. Moves like curb stomp have been banned.
Now WWE has started to name pay-per-views on the highlight matches, for example, Hell in a cell, money in the bank, etc. The whole point to watch these pay-per-views is to watch that one single match. Back in old times, these shows had the interesting names like No way out, Backlash, Unforgiven. These shows would have these highlight matches.
Earlier WWE had many hot matches during the show which would keep the fans attracted to the game. These Divas were not so good when it came to wrestling, but they did the trick.
Earlier WWE had some Cruiserweights divisions like WCW which would feature matches with high adrenaline action. These days all the wrestlers fight in the same ring.
This belt has made many careers and has destroyed many too. The heavyweight championship gave the new talent in the show a shot at popularity.
Earlier both the companies were properly separated. There was no interference with one another except some of the highlighted matches at pay-per-views. Now the primary focus has shifted to Raw. Smackdown has lost its importance completely.
WCW provided a lot of stability to the storyline. It also provided a lot of healthy competition in the industry. WWE should try and bring WCW back to attract more fans.
